A community member Myah Turner said on Facebook: “She was a person who was deeply known in Mobile, loved by family, both chosen and biological, and connected to a community that is now grieving. This loss hits especially close to home for The Black Butterfly Collective [a group she was an active part of]. Ladaijah was one of our trans sisters. One of our own. One of the people who made up the fabric of our community.”
